Protect your personal data

Take the following actions to further protect your privacy and personal information both online and offline.

Adobe Reader preferences

Adobe Reader preferences
  • Click Edit on the menu
  • Click Preferences
  • Under Categories, select Forms
  • Under General, uncheck the box next to Keep forms data temporarily available on disk
  • Under Auto-Complete, select Off in the dropdown list


Clearing the browser cache memory

Most browsers store in the cache memory a local copy of web pages that were visited. To protect the information you have entered, it is important that you clear the cache memory after completing an online application. This will prevent other users from viewing your personal information.

Follow the instructions below to clear your browser's cache:

Click on Delete

Microsoft Internet Explorer

Version 7.0:
  • Press Alt to view menu
  • Click on Tools
  • Click on Internet Options
  • Under the general tab, click on Delete
  • In the Delete Browsing History window, click on Delete all and click Yes.

Click on Delete Files under the section Temporary Internet files
Version 6.0:
  • Click on Tools
  • Click on Internet Options
  • Under the general tab, click on Delete Files in the section Temporary Internet files
  • Ensure there is a checkmark for Delete all offline content and click OK.


Clear Private Data

Firefox

  • Click on the Tools menu
  • Select the Clear Private Data option


Click on Empty

Safari

  • Click on Safari
  • Click on Empty Cache
  • Click on Empty
